WMD intelligence and Clinton's aspirin factory hit

Clinton's tantrum on Fox News Sunday is a reminder of when he tried to respond to the African embassy bombings. Too much of the commentary focuses on the impact of the Lewinski affair an ignores a significant red flag on our WMD intelligence. Iraq is not the first place we did not find WMD after an attack.

The hit on the aspirin factory in Sudan was supposed to be because we had intelligence that indicated that WMD was being produced there and there was also a possible connection between bin Laden and Saddam tied to the plant.

The Clinton administration ignored this serious intelligence failure and passed on the bad intelligence on WMD's to the Bush administration which acted on it when it invaded Iraq. I don't recall this red flag being studied when the post war assesments of intelligence were done. It would make an interesting inquiry.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. Bin Laden's concern about Zarqawi's remains
