The ACORN scandal

Given that the bailout bill is largely agreed upon as a necessary "crap sandwich" that "sucks," it is worth noting that conservative outrage did succeed in stripping the most egregious pork from the bill— funds in an "affordable housing trust fund" that could have gone to Democrat-allied and often nefarious advocacy groups like ACORN.

All possible proceeds from the sale of these toxic assets will now go toward the national debt, not to affordable housing groups that pressure politicians to pressure banks to offer risky loans to low-income families, so those families can get into mortgages they can't afford. Hmmm, doesn't that sound familiar?

ACORN will undoubtedly mobilize all of the dead people, cartoon characters, pets, historical figures, and illegal immigrants it has registered to vote in order to achieve this goal.

Since ACORN was largely responsible for creating this mess it is beyond outrageous that the Democrats were going to reward them for creating the mess to begin with. They should be opening investigations into those who supported the organizations efforts in Congress. Someone in Washington needs to identify the person responsible for putting the gift to ACORN in the package to begin with. Whomever it was needs to exposed, ridiculed and defeated in the next election. If there is not a question about ACORN's role in this debacle in the next debate then people are not doing their job. Since Obama was a former community organizer for ACORN his role needs to be exposed.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. Bin Laden's concern about Zarqawi's remains
