Obama Afghan strategy at risk with continued tantrums and murders

NY Times:

Violent Uproar in Afghanistan Casts Shadow on U.S. Pullout

Administration officials described growing concern about a drawdown by the United States that hinges on the close mentoring and training of Afghan army and police forces.
By drawing down our large units and putting fewer US troops with large Afghan units the force protection issue becomes so paramount that the strategy will not work.  We are either going to have to keep the big units there until the Taliban are defeated, or withdraw all troops at some point.  Clearly we can't trust the Afghans' volatile response of innocent events.  They are still most illiterate religious bigots who can be manipulated by an evil enemy.  Until there is some leadership in Afghanistan who can stand up to the mobs, the Afghans appear to be a hopeless lot.
