Gov. Abbott confident of success in immigration litigation

Houston Chronicle:
Heading into what could be another consequential week for President Barack Obama’s immigration policy, Gov. Greg Abbott continued to voice confidence Sunday that Texas would prevail in its high-profile legal challenge to the president’s executive action.

In two interviews broadcast from the nation’s capital, the former attorney general reiterated his belief Texas will fight Obama’s move all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, where the state “should win unanimously.” Abbott also predicted the odds are “close to zero” of the Obama administration winning a stay of a federal judge’s ruling last week to halt the implementation of the action, which would shield up to 5 million illegal immigrants from deportation.

“It shows how dangerous this president is to the Constitution,” Abbott said during an interview on Fox News. “He feels like there are no guardrails to his limits.”

The administration is expected to try to get the restraining order lifted this week, but the judges opinion appears to be pretty solid.  The President's own words will come back to haunt him.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
