Large and wide hurricane headed for Texas coast

Washington Post:
Strengthening Harvey forecast to slam Texas coast as first major hurricane in U.S. since 2005

An incredible amount of rain, exceeding 20 inches in some areas, is likely as the storm is predicted to stall and unload torrential downpours for four to six straight days.
Harvey has an unusually wide front, all though its sustain winds are not as high as recent storms that have hit Texas.  It has been over 10 years since the last hurricane hit Texas which is evidence that "climate change" dire predictions have not been realized to date.  Some low lying areas could see flooding with the predicted rainfall.  However, the part of Texas where I live northwest of Houston had a 23-inch rain a little over a year ago that mainly resulted in standing water in some pastures and had some roads unpassable for a short period of time.

In the past Texas has had a good response to weather events like this one.
