Making the case for massive retaliation against North Korea

NY Times:

Even the Most Precise Strike Could Prompt Retaliation

A limited action, like knocking out a missile before it launches, could set off a spiral of escalation.
I would not expect "precise" strikes against North Korea.  I would go straight to annihilation of this regimes ability to make war.   North Korea has threatened nuclear war against the US.  That justifies the pre-emptive destruction of the regime and its war making ability.  It has backed up these threats with a series of testing of missiles and nuclear weapons.  I see no reason to rely on Obama era pin prick strikes to deal with such a threat.  Sec. Mattis is right.  If North Korea does not change course it will see the destruction of its regime and many of its people.
