FBI finds FEMA relief supplies for Puerto Rico thrown in the trash

PR Information:

Federal and State Authorities today began an investigation into the Municipality of Patillas after an inspection was carried out today where allegedly, investigators found food and water provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) thrown in a trash container according to sources. Supplies mismanagement or theft, for being federal property, will be investigated by the FBI and can lead to a penalty of up to 20 years if any individual is found to be violating the distribution guidelines.
...
They have also found supplies that were improperly stored by local officials leaving them out in the rain where rats have infested them.   Puerto Rico appears to have a problem with low functioning local governments as well as corruption.  There are more pictures of the mishandling of relief supplies at the link above.  What seems clear is that if people are starving in Puerto Rico it is not for a lack of supplies from teh US.
